Hybrid working: Flexibility, well-being and productivity.

The modern working world is undergoing profound change. Traditional working models, where the office was considered the central place of productivity, are increasingly giving way to hybrid concepts that make the transition between professional and private areas more fluid. Flexibility, well-being and the promotion of productivity are at the heart of this new work culture. But how exactly are hybrid working models affecting our lives, and what role can an office café play in sustainably promoting employee wellbeing and corporate culture?

These day, we are used to sharing our cars (car sharing) and our flats (e.g. Airbnb). At a time when the world of work is undergoing fundamental change, CBRE’s new London headquarters at Henrietta House is setting the standard. The approach of this office building puts employee wellbeing at its heart, offering a variety of spaces and configurations for everyone to choose from according to their needs and preferences. This reflects a new era of flexible working that is revolutionising traditional office concepts.

The classic office layout with, ‘desk next to desk next to pedestal,’ is a thing of the past - today's offices are characterised by non-territorial workstations and open spaces. Around 420 employees from the digital payment service provider Nexi have moved into a new office building in Zagreb, Croatia. On three and a half floors with 4,890 square metres of space, Sedus worked closely with local specialist retailer Plan2B to optimally match the office furnishings to the company’s brand book.
