Why Sedus: GEFÄSSERIE in Fuchsstadt - a case study

On two floors covering 130 square metres, there is a variety of greenery that pleases the eye and contributes to a positive atmosphere. A particular highlight are the vertical walls, which are planted with plants in various shades and not only give the rooms an aesthetic touch, but also promote a general sense of well-being.

The acoustics in the rooms have been optimised with a ceiling made of stabilised moss, among other things. This creative measure not only serves to absorb sound, but also creates a pleasant room climate. The moss circles on the ceilings and moss pictures on the walls also set individual accents and emphasise the creative approach to a contemporary and natural working environment; they perfectly combine the balance between modern design and ecological awareness.

Sedus worked with specialist dealer Steinmetz Einrichtungen to equip six individual workstations with office furniture. In addition, se:spot stool bar chairs were used in the meeting room and in the reception, creating a stylish, cosy atmosphere without compromising on comfort.

Heike Schneider, owner of GEFÄSSERIE, explained the objectives of the new interior design: ‘The aim was to create a space that enables open, collaborative working and creates calm for the mind and senses through clear lines and structures. By complying with workplace guidelines and biophilic design, ill health could also be prevented."

A great deal of emphasis was placed on naturalness in the design. The wood, the green of the plants and the accents of Sedus furniture in anthracite and grey have created a harmonious colour concept that is both modern and cosy.

When selecting furnishings, the focus was on ergonomic workstations, flexible working options and non-toxic/low-pollutant materials. Easy-to-clean workstations as well as practical storage options and locker cabinets ensure that the office is always tidy.
