Open working environments and a flexible concept
The former headquarters of TUI Deutschland has been converted into TUI’s new global headquarters over the past two years. 20,000 square metres have been completely redesigned. Instead of small offices and narrow corridors, the TUI Campus is characterised by open working environments.
Thanks to the flexible working concept, the TUI Campus offers a wide variety of workspaces, from soundproof meeting rooms to co-working areas. In 13 shared areas – the “CoAreas” – 250 workstations have been completely refurbished. The “Co” stands for Cooperation, Collaboration and Communication. Employees can spontaneously come together there to work on projects or exchange ideas. There are also 80 meeting rooms – and 1500 regular workstations. The cafeteria with barista coffee machine and community table, the lobby and a TV studio for global employee communication were also newly set up.
Office furniture from Sedus for more productivity and creativity
Sedus has equipped single workstations, as well as hubs and the spaces in between on the TUI Campus, with its office furniture. For example, desks from the se:lab product family were used to enable productive and creative working. In addition, the turn around swivel chairs and the mastermind high desk are ideal for team and project work. The new company headquarters were also equipped with cosy se:lounge lounge chairs and practical grand slam locker cabinets.
In the past, the eight TUI companies that are now represented at the TUI Campus were spread across three different locations in Hanover. Internal calculations and empirical values have been incorporated into the working concept to ensure that all employees have a place to work on the TUI Campus. Employees can use an app to book their workspace in advance.
Sebastian Ebel, CEO of TUI Group says,”The TUI Campus reflects what characterises our working culture: flexibility and openness. At TUI, we are proud of our flexible working models and hybrid forms of work. They work best in combination with modern offices, as we have now implemented at the TUI Campus. Working from home or from anywhere in the world and working in the office are two sides of the same coin. The TUI Campus brings the TUI brand to life. Not only for our employees, but also for guests from all over the world. They are the ones who make the TUI Campus a place of exchange and dialogue.”
