Innovative workplace concepts at Sedus: highlights from Clerkenwell Design Week 2024

Numerous customers, dealers and design enthusiasts came along to talk to the Sedus UK team to find out more about the new office world.

Focus on a harmonious work-life balance

“With the growing desire for a more harmonious work-life balance, it is becoming increasingly important to design working environments that not only enable a healthy workload, but also actively help to reduce employee stress,” says Ben Wheeler, Managing Director of Sedus Stoll Ltd UK. Digital transformation and flexible working hours are key issues that Sedus is tackling with innovative products.

The cost of overlooking employee values in the workplace

Hannah Nardini from WKspace gave an inspiring presentation on this topic. It focused on what is important to employees in the workplace, both from the perspective of values and the physical environment. She and her team looked at the different generational groups (from Boomers to Gen Z) and examined what is important to them in the workplace. The clear aim was to find out whether we will see a greater return to the office in the next six years and what the workplace could look like in 2030. Different occupational groups were analysed to see what they could do to meet the needs of the four generations currently in the job market. The basic finding was that the demands on the office will change significantly in the future.
