Social responsibility as part of our DNA: The Karl Bröcker Foundation

"A future for children"

Karl Bröcker founded Gesika Büromöbelwerke in Geseke in 1962 and focused on social commitment right from the start. Renate Bröcker continued to run the company in the spirit of her father - until she died in a road accident in 1998. Renate Bröcker's foresight was now evident, as she had stipulated in her will that her assets should flow into a foundation bearing the name of her late father. The Karl Bröcker Foundation was established in 1999.

With the foundation, Renate Bröcker wanted to create life prospects for disadvantaged children and young people, in line with her motto, "Equal opportunities for all". Today, the Karl Bröcker Foundation's guiding principle is "A future for children". In 2002, the Gesika Büromöbelwerke company was incorporated into Sedus Stoll AG and has since been trading under the name Sedus Systems GmbH.

These projects and facilities are supported by the foundation

The Karl Bröcker Foundation helps where help is needed – in Germany and abroad. It supports kindergartens, schools and medical and therapeutic facilities, for example in the form of summer festivals, medical aid in Eritrea, the Renate Bröcker Youth Centre, sponsorship projects and reading promotion/reading aloud cinema.
