Social responsibility through two foundations
Founded as a family business, Sedus is now run as a non-listed public limited company. Two foundations ensure the company's independence and are committed to charitable causes. The Stoll VITA Foundation focuses on scientific research and the promotion of sustainability, environmental protection and nature conservation. The Karl Bröcker Foundation is involved in projects for children and young people in need. Working at Sedus therefore means not only working for a traditional and innovative company, but also giving something back to the community.
Employee participation since the 1950s
As early as the 1950s, the then company owner Christof Stoll realised that motivated employees are a company's greatest asset, which is why employee profit-sharing is still firmly anchored in the company philosophy today. Sedus also uses regular employee surveys to ensure that every idea is listened to.
Healthy and energised employees
Ergonomic swivel chairs and height-adjustable desks for employees are a matter of course for Sedus as an office furniture manufacturer. Company health management also includes health days, online applications for mini-breaks, fresh fruit and environmentally conscious mobility through bike leasing. For sports enthusiasts and musicians, Sedus offers a wide range of opportunities to pursue a hobby or revive an old passion through regular running meetings, yoga classes and the company music programme.
In the two company restaurants, Oase in Dogern and Loft in Geseke, employees are served a freshly prepared, high-quality lunch every day. Careful preparation according to the wholefood principle as well as regional and seasonal products are the be-all and end-all. Apples and vegetable broth based on Emma Stoll's recipe are freely available for refreshment in between meals.
